Entirely hand built, one of a kind, raw speckle clay vase. Sculpted layer by layer, a collaboration between the clay and my hands (the clay tends to have a mind of its own with this type of sculpture!).
 
The natural direction of the clay produces an organic, cliff/cave like shape and texture. Beginning as minerals and earth, being processed, handled, and formed into something new and solid, but still, earth.
 
This piece has a clear glaze which drips down the sides of the piece like running water over stone.
